The 6-Second Truth About Fat Loss
I think of this when I see these little devils staring back at me:

You will never burn calories quicker than you can prevent consuming them.
Take a Lindt Truffle Ball, for example—about 79 calories. It takes roughly six seconds to eat one. Now, ask yourself: can you burn 79 calories in six seconds through exercise? Of course not.
So, what’s my point?
If you’re on a fat loss journey, starting from first principles can help. If you control your calorie intake at its foundation, everything else you do builds on that for long-term success.
💡This is worth remembering:
- When you’re beating yourself up for missing a workout. What you consume, or prevent consuming is more important.
- When you feel like endless cardio is the only way to lose body fat.
Yes, I know—I’m also the guy who posted “Simplify to Thrive,” where I talked about ditching calorie tracking. But this doesn’t have to contradict that. A simple approach, such as this quote, can still be effective.
At its core, fat loss isn’t about obsessing over numbers—it’s about making small, sustainable choices that add up over time.
Until next time Mr. Truffle ball! 🫡
